This burpee workout is a time challenge and is done in a pyramid style with 10 reps done of 4 exercises for the first round and then for each subsequent round you do one less rep of each until you get to the 10th round in which you do just one rep of each exercise. This workout is great for strengthening and toning the full body, as burpees are the best full body exercise I know of, but this is especially good for the abs and core with the last 2 exercises directly targeting those. Adding some weight with the sandbag intensifies the action and effect. Tighten your abs as you do the sit ups and leg raises to get the most out of these.
I had to celebrate as this is my 100th workout video on Youtube! And so what better way to celebrate than to do lots of burpees – 100 burpees of course! This workout rocks! I picked out 10 of my favorite kinds of burpees. ok, hold up, I lied, because supergirl burpees are NOT my favorite, but I do want to get better at them, so yes they are included, but aside from these.. and if I was good at them, they would be pretty awesome! ..and so one day they will be a favorite and this will be true. Truth from the future. But I digress. This workout has 10 rounds of super awesome burpees and knee hug crunches. Burpee love. || Read more
This workout is 15 minutes of intervals with lots of burpees. It’s 4 different types of burpees intermixed with other legs, butt and abs exercises making this a mainly lower body workout. Jump lunges and squats are a couple of the best exercises I have found for shaping the butt and upper thighs. These bodyweight exercises are amazing and have just about completely erased any signs of cellulite from my upper legs, which is astonishing considering I have had this most of my life, and have tried every cream, lotion, potion and trick I would hear of to try to get rid of it. Go figure that now in my late 40’s I would discover the key with these bodyweight exercises, which seems to make it magically fade away. Awesome. So come burpee with me and get great shaped legs! || Read more
This workout is made up of 3 rounds and in each round you do 12 reps of 3 different exercises. Yesterdays date, Dec 12, 2012 (12/12/12) inspired this workout and I really got into the triple part of it. Each of the three exercises ended up with a triple part to it: 3 plank jacks in the burpees, 3 pulses for the squats and 3 points for each rep of the ab chops, so really you do 36 ab chops per round. I thought the workout was fun and moved along well and it was a great one to get back into the groove after my week away. || Read more
This new burpee workout is a time challenge and has 5 different types of burpees in it. The last 3 types are ones I am doing for the first time. Fun new burpees that are set around ab crunch exercises done with a medicine ball. You can use a different weight, like a dumbbell, water bottle, or just use body weight if you don’t have a medicine ball. There are some really fun exercises in here and I hope you enjoy the workout. || Read more
This 20 minute upper body workout is filled with lots of push ups, a few burpees and some fun new plank exercises. I loved the two variations of plank twist overs. It also has the tiger push up.. a new push up for me that is like a combination of a diamond and a pike push up; it is great for triceps and more challenging than it looks.. look closely and you will see my arms trembling at the end. I think there is a good balance between the different types of exercises to give give some relief from the more challenging ones and make a good flow overall.
