Ok, I am going to blast a post off with lots of cold weather pictures and then that’s it for me.. it’s all tropical rain forests and beaches in my mind for the next month! Maybe if I post enough cold weather pics I’ll come to grips with – the fact that I live in Canada – and that it is winter. sigh. I love our country but I seriously don’t think that many people really want to be here in the middle of the winter. I guess it’s because of family that we stay ..but really I don’t think humans were designed for these extreme cold temperatures. This is crazy. Well, grab your parka and bundle up.. we’re diving in. But right after this post, or maybe right after Christmas, that’s it – I’m hitting the hot tub, defrosting and hibernating to a cozy retreat in my mind where the sand is toasty and the sun is beaming down on me in a bikini.  || Read more

I probably should call this a pot luck party as it kind of was and most people brought food, but I was told just to come and as I was running all over town and then just brought there, I  just went with it and showed up. It’s the first time not taking a dish to Fatma’s for a party, but I knew she would over prepare as she always does! Fatma makes wonderful food and I want to share some of the dishes she made. I took pics when I first got there mainly of her creations, but there was more food that came after also..and desserts like Live’s lemon cheesecake Mmm! and a coconut mint chia pudding (also made by Fatma). I LOVE raw pot lucks!  || Read more

This is one of my favorite roads to drive on. It’s the Coverdale Road from our place following the Fundy Bay coast to Riverside Albert, where my brother used to run his Inn. We decided to take a drive down to the Albert County Country fair and see horses, cows, rides, games and the agricultural country event. But I’m posting mainly pictures of the drive.. because I love it. It’s a sentimental thing. The road is twisty and curvy so you often don’t see what’s around the corner in front of you. Great drive for a sportscar.. as long as no one  else is around. It’s only 2 lanes.  So come with us on a Sunday drive!  || Read more
