Himalayan salt contains 84 natural minerals and elements found in the human body. It is rich in natural sodium, which is soluble, organic and is essential for the body, as opposed to heavily processed table salt, devoid of minerals or nutrition, and comprised of inorganic compounds, which lead to a multitude of health problems.
About – Himalayan salt is the purest salt available on our planet. Himalayan salt is millions of years old and pure, untouched by toxins and pollutants. It is a rock salt mined mainly from Pakistan, 300 kms from the Himalayas. It is primarily mined from the Khewra Salt Mine, which is the second largest salt mine in the world. Himalayan crystal salt is is a pinkish color and far superior to traditional iodized salt. Salt is necessary but is harmful if taken in the heavily processed form of common table salt which contains chemicals, is void of nutritional value and lacks beneficial trace minerals. Processing salt turns it into sodium chloride, an unnatural salt that the human body reacts to as a toxic invader. The body cannot dispose of it in a natural, healthy way which can lead to inflammation of the tissues, water retention and high blood pressure.
Nutrition – Himalayan salt contains an abundance of minerals and trace minerals, including potassium, calcium and magnesium, all available in colloidal form, so your body can immediately absorb them. Salt is crucial for homeostasis: regulating the water content of the systems of our bodies. It promotes a healthy ph balance in our cells, particularly our brain cells and assists in the generation of hydroelectric energy in the cells of our body. It helps regulate our sleep, actually promoting sleep, supports our libido, vascular health and together with water is essential in regulating blood pressure. Salt is essential for the body and unless you have high blood pressure or a dis-ease or disorder in the body, salt is beneficial and promotes a healthy balance in our body.
