Balsamic Vinaigrette Recipe
2012
Balsamic vinaigrette is a delicious easy to make recipe filled with healthy nutritious ingredients that you can feel good about using when you add it to your salads. his recipe is even my light version in which I add water to extend it. You will not even realize once it is emulsified with the Dijon. It is still creamy and rich flavored with garlic, seasonings and just a touch of maple syrup.
I think a great step to getting into a healthful eating lifestyle is to make your own dressings. Almost every commercially made salad dressing on the shelves of your local supermarket is made with low quality oils, loads of sugar and often really unhealthy ingredients, sometimes really toxic chemical combinations. It is a real convenience, and so even though most people realize this to some extent, it is easy to look the other way. But once you get used to making your own you will realize how easy it is. They last a long time, one to several months refrigerated, and so only need to be made once in a long while.
