An art fair. I love t! There were some amazing artisans and pieces available here.
Here’s something interesting I just discovered from wandering around the building. A grow room that’s like an indoor greenhouse. And they are affiliated with the community garden mom & I have been going to. How awesome!
Outside we found they have a children’s art studio. There was an art and yoga camp for kids. ..and check out the apple tree dripping with apples just outside! (Mmm.. we know what we are going to do with these!)
Fun playground. Perfect for a hot summer day!
And now, to the kitchen!
I don’t have a lot of photos to share for this recipe. But truly, it’s so delicious and we’ve switched out the butter or margarine for coconut oil. I’ve been using coconut oil a lot lately.
Health Benefits of Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has abundant health benefits. Here are a few of the most popular ones:
Coconut oil is great for the brain and have been shown to help reverse Alzheimers.
It’s anti-viral, anti-fungal and helps to eliminate candida in the body.
Coconut oil is wonderful for the skin and strengthens hair.
It’s been shown to help reverse diabetes and it also preserves muscle mass while promoting weight loss.
So it makes a great substitute in our apple crisp recipe. We’re also switching out brown sugar for coconut (or maple) sugar.

Makes one 8” x 8” baking tray. Double ingredients for a 9” x 13” tray.
Apple crisp is always a favorite and the maple and cinnamon is so delicious. You can add chopped walnuts to the topping also for a little extra crunch, and more nutritional impact.
Enjoy!
